They on their feet early. Already had two scrub bucks and a good 8 stroll through. I’m sitting on a field I ain’t had but a few picks the last week or so and didn’t expect that or I would’ve put the wife here.

In the ground blind, its foggy and windy. Heard the turkey already just waiting for deer

Sitting in a creek bottom instead of the hillside. Planted pines on one side, hardwoods on the other.

Back on peanut fields foggy start. Nothing so far.

Present on a cutover hardwood edge where 2 hollers meet staying long as I can unless I lass out from heat exhaustion

Saw several young bucks this morning. Put my daughter there for the afternoon - been 2 bigguns seen on that clearcut last two days. Got my BIL on a greenfield on a meat hunt. Just enjoying the breeze in a ladder overlooking a clearcut with 10 year old pines to my back. Good luck!

Meat hunt in Baldwin county this afternoon. Hopefully a doe will walk on out early. Scheduled tomorrow off, but this will end it for me.

Last afternoon for me. 1st time hunting alone all year.

Sitting the bluff, wind is damn howling. I can see Bellefonte towers though so that means I have a chance at a giant.

Me and the boy are sitting on a greenfield at the edge of a swamp looking for antlers. It’s the last sit of the year for us.

Well I filled 3rd buck tag earlier in the week and I go on a doe/ hog hunt and the biggest deer I've seen all year walks a half Circle around me at 30 yards....

So dang hot in Pike Co - I have pure taken my boots off in the stand. Luckily the wind is in my favor and it’s a lot more tolerable now🤣

County. I have a stud 10 pt comeing to this feild. I have hunted it
5 out of the last 7 days,. Seeing alot.of does n spikes. I passed on a
Decent 6 point Thursday afternoon here.
Both days I wasn't here he was At 5:45. I'm belevieing

That’s all I’ve seen since this morning is turkeys. Group of jakes earlier and now a group of hens.

He would have got his end killed prancing around there in front of me like that. You may gave taken that bag limit suggestion a little to serious there today.

Just saw two does and a spike feeding around the feeder behind the house. At least some made it not sure what I have left this year though neighbors have put a hurting on them. Hope they had fun this year at least one won’t kill a deer next year if I can help it.

Well it was definitely a great evening but it dang sure hurt my feelings... I had just shot 2 does with my crossbow, field dressed them and got them out to the the road. Walked back in packed my stand up and ,looked up and a tall tight 8 pt was headed straight towards me . I got my phone and started recording him. He eventually feed off and I was standing up to leave and that big 8 was walking straight towards me at 40 yards.
I would have done shameful things for one more buck tag lol. That being said I had an good season, accident free, got a cooler full of meat and a wife and kids that's ready for daddy to come home. Thankya jesus ima blessed man. He'll be a goodun next year!!

I was LFTSS - Live From The Shooting Shack.
I’ve got a wrought iron chair with a curved back and a cushion. It sits great and has good back support.

Ended my season with a big ole nanner head. She was the 17th doe to step out. Shot her and she did a back flip, flopped for a few seconds and that was it, or so I thought? I sat there about 5 minutes, let my gun down and was getting my stuff together and looked up and she jumped up and tore azz toward the pond. I could hear her running through the water and it sounded like she came out. She didn't. Tracked a massive blood trail to the water. Its more of a swamp. Had to wade through knee deep following blood on the reeds and cattails. Finally saw her. Almost chest deep. Waters cold. Been a long time since I had to swim for one. Headed to the processor, season over. Its been a good one.

Hayden and I doubled up this evening. What a great season.

Ended my season with a kill!!!! 3-4 inch baby rattlesnake. Did see some deer though. Had a good buck slipping thru the pines this afternoon. Tried to turn and I don’t know how she got there but a big nanny was under my stand and alerted the entire county. Been a good year and the freezer is full even though this is least I’ve hunted. Broke my 17 yr streak of killing one with my bow.

Wife sealed the deal this evening. First racked buck. Super proud of her.

I ended my season with a funky horned old 6 point at 5:30... With the rain setting in for the last day, I think I am done for this season.
