I've been shooting Hornady Critical Defense. They have polymer tipped HP's and never jam. 1955Retiree 4 point 1 Joined: Jan 2019 Posts: 413 Kims Corner, Al.	A lot of the jamming is caused by the bullet snagging on the feed ramp .That is the hollow points. The ball ammo slides right in the barrel like it should. Sometimes you can polish the feed ramp and it helps quite a bit. I usually shoot the 230 grain fmj most of the time. I have an old Thompson .45 and it shoots great. My mother in law found it in one of her husband's old tackle boxes after he died, and she gave it to me.It had been in there about 20 years and I had to do a lot of work to get it right. It's not how much money you make, but how much you can keep.
