Anybody got any recommendations for a editing program that isn't too complicated and not terribly expensive? I got a Sony camcorder last year and made some videos from the kids birthdays and some over the holidays. I'm not trying to make professional quality videos, just need to edit them down to shorter videos and maybe add something that says the date, event, etc..

If you have Windows 10 then it has an application built in called Video Editor, just hit the little windows menu in the bottom left and start typing Video Editor. It's very basic and simple, but you can trim videos, patch multiple together, add text, music, etc.

Mac's iMovie, without a doubt. It's intuitive and comes with all Apple computers.

Me and apple products don't get along.

I think my wifes is all sony..i aint for sure about that tho...i know it was expensive
