I’ve hunted this area several times and yes they should be rutting normally during that time.

aldeer.com clowns are definitely better than Georgia clowns. Plus you get the whole entertainment value package here.

You’re in the right place at the right time. Prob just a few days past peak but still good action going on. Make sure to give us a report afterwards.

If Conecuh County is any indication he could be more than a few days late, we are seeing good chasing activity and have been for a good week now and normally our peak Rut is MLK weekend

Man we’re between Repton and evergreen and seems like they don’t get frisky until 1/17 and then it’s only for a week or so. Other than A couple bucks looking at does on camera we don’t have any does ready yet and still some bucks together. But we’ve had daylight pics of shooters since mid December... I attribute that to the corn.

I was just about to post the same thing.

I'm thinking he's talking the Hwy 41 area south of Selma.
But on that note, is there a single county in Alabama that doesn't have a Sardis, Shiloh and Antioch community??

If you mean the one in Dallas County, the rut is just starting. Last week I observed several bucks bothering, but not chasing does and a decent 8 point half heartedly work a scrape. He raked the overhanging limb with his rack and pawed the ground a few times, but did not pee in it for some reason. He was 25 yards from me. A friend killed an old 4X1 and there were no signs of rutting with him. I expect it to be wide open any day now if it is true to form with previous years.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

We hunt just to your west in Wilcox, and the rut is just starting. Should be a great time for your trip!

It varies year to year a little, always sometime between middle and end of January in that area.

The Sardis in Etowah Co. has been done for weeks, not so sure about the one down south.

Wide open right now in the Dallas County Sardis. It looks to be a week or two later than usual but no big deal since we still have until Feb 10.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Are their Deer their seriously. I lived there for 3 years and have family that still owns property there. I don't recall ever seeing one or even a track.

Yeah there’s still some around. My wife’s cousin shot a pretty nice 7pt that was broke up a couple weeks ago.
