I did without a lot of stuff over the years to fund my 401k and IRA, I've thought about cashing it out and hiding it.

I can already hear the sales pitch "a certain percent of the country is well enough off that they are able to put away hundreds of thousands of dollars for retirement that they will not even spend for another 20, 30 possibly 40 years, while others wonder where their next meal will come from. I dont think its to much to ask for these people to contribute 25% of their savings to benefit society. No one should go hungry in america while others are allowed to stockpile wealth off the backs of the poor." Hell, that's already being used. When we were kids, for decades, we were told to put aside some money, save, be prepared for the "rainy day" when you need money. We were read the fable about the partying Grasshopper and the hardworking Ant. It was drilled into us to have a savings account at the bank, to buy "war bonds" or T-bills, to plan ahead. And now because of a bunch of lazy asswads who can't manage their own money or lives combined with liberal gasbags who want to destroy America, those of us who smartly planned ahead, did without some things while putting away money, and have savings for retirement and the kids or grandkids OR EVEN to give to charitable efforts are all horrible, bad, selfish people. The amount of money given away by millionaires and billionaires over the last 150 years is astonishing. Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Ford, Gates, Buffett, others all have created municipal libraries, hospitals, other things, donated to the arts and schools, helped fund universities and scholarship programs, and much more that the whining America-hating liberals don't know about and wouldn't even acknowledge if they did. And that's why to those America-hating whining asswipes my only response would be, "F'k off and pound sand."

Several years ago Hillary proposed retroactively taxing it while it was still growing for you/before you retired. She saw all that $$$ out there and nobody's hands on it.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

They won't tax it. My guess is they will force you to draw down your 401k to a certain amount before you are allowed to receive SS benefits. I think they'll use it for means testing to receive SS.
