I don’t think the population is that dense necessarily. Most of that land is wide open pasture or row crop. Not a lot of cover. Now, if the particular piece of property HAS cover the population should be good. The genetics in that area are good though so your chance to take a nice buck is above average.

I don’t get that, that area has the soil and genetics to grow giants without the aid of a fence. I have a good friend who has some land there. It use to be farmed but once farming died out he let it go to overgrown pasture land. Hardly any trees beside giant cedars. That overgrown pasture land/ natural regrowth is thick and the deer love it. There’s bunch of deer on his place.

We have friends who have a big, family farm in Safford and that place is run over with deer. Lots of em.
