Looking for a new carry gun. I don’t care for striker fired pistols, so I’m looking for something more traditional in SA/DA. Perhaps a Sig 225 or 239. What other models should I evaluate? I’m looking to IWB carry, so I will consider trading off capacity for single stack. Probably 9mm for caliber. Thoughts?

I carry two everyday. A keltec 380 and NAA 22 magnum.
I've got both on me everywhere I go. They're small, light, and easy to conceal.

I'm not going to wage a firefight with a sidearm. I'm using my sidearm to get out of the fight.

Yep, don't take a pistol to a gun fight. If you have to shoot a full mag you'll probably leave in a coffin.

I just don't see either one of those Sigs having any advantage over several carry pistols Glock and S&W offer.

I would almost recommend considering a 5 shot .357 revolver with the 3 inch barrel. They are easy to pack and nothing wrong with the simplicity or reliability of a wheel gun.

Maybe one of the older S&W autos if you would consider something used.

Keltec pf 9 and 3 mags. Living in hoover I'd look into an AR pistol setup. Never can be too rich too many good friends rifles or too many loaded spare mags.

H&k p2000sk - it isn't light, it isn't that small (.22 mag/380) --- however, it is dependable -- I carry app. style. -- can cover with my shirt tucked or untucked ---- if you're looking for pocket carry, go with the smaller ones that have been mentioned .22 mag or .380 ---

Take a look at the S&W M&P Bodyguard.
It’s hammer fired.

thanks for the recommendations. I will look into each of them. I think I may need to just test drive modern striker fired pistols. Maybe they've gotten better. Last few I've fired I just don't care for the way the trigger feels.
