How do you know no one contacted him You sayin that Bill has no interest in making 3X or 4x what he currently makes at UAB, which is what he could do at any SEC school.

Really? A high school coach goes to an assistant at a college and that isn’t an upward move? He is responsible for criminal acts of players? Do you hold the teachers and the principal responsible too? Prattville has always been accused of cheating. Prattville High school football has always been accused of playing players who lived in Montgomery. Did Prattville go recruit players from Montgomery? Absolutely, But if a kid wants to move out of the city of Montgomery and come live with his aunt and uncle or Grandma and Grandpa why shouldn't he be able to. As long as they abide by the AHSAA rules, which they did every single time. Every good High school football program does that, just look at Hoover. Prattville has been investigated twice for having illegal players and both times they didn't find anything. As far as the grade changing thing, I don't know I cant prove it one way or the other, I do know they had a program at Prattville, FOR ALL ATHLETES, that provided tutors and help writing papers and other things like that for student athletes.

About the practicing to early. Yes, high schools are not allowed to hold "mandatory" or "full pads practice" until so many weeks before season. The way all high schools get away with this is having "voluntary" practices that are not full pads. so basically you are practicing in everything except knee pads. They were practicing with all the coaches there and it was filmed.

I can tell you, my son practices 4 days a week starting the week after school gets out in the summer and then every day starting August 1.

Today's rules are different. Clark has been gone from Prattville for 11 years. He started there 20 years ago.

First, all major college programs skirt around the rules in some way. I have no doubt that in big college programs, players are paid, always have been and always will be. SEC schools are probably the biggest offenders in this regard IMHO.
Second, maybe Bill has gotten a little more of a bad rap than he deserves, but obviously some folks in college football are leery of him. Once that mindset has set in the people who are in charge, it can take a long time to erase it. Otherwise, I feel he would be mentioned prominently when these searches happen every year. But, you rarely hear his name mentioned, and winning coaches at these type programs need to take advantage of their opportunities when their name is hot. Before long, he won't be hot and his future prospects will vanish like a fart in the wind.
I hold no ill will towards Bill, and he's done a great job at UAB. If UAB is good enough for him and his family then more power to him.
