I caught what I think is the biggest bass I’ve ever caught this afternoon. (I dunno what it weighed. I quit carrying scales and scoring bucks a year or so ago.) But I’ve caught and weighed 5 and 6 pounders each of the last 3 years and it was a good bit bigger than them. I figure it’s 7-plus. Honestly, nothing much worked for me today. I was just fishing to catch fish. I’d caught a few white bass, drum, crappie etc. Last cast of the day. Had just talked to wife on phone. Told her I was trying to catch one more fish before I came in. 6 foot spinning rod with 8 lb test. It pulled some serious drag. I thought it was a catfish until it came to the surface. I was by myself and said to myself, “Holy chit! Get the net, get the net, get the net.” ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/vaAGsxw.jpg)

iPhone has a timer. I used the “selfie” mode so I could make sure I was in the frame when it went off.
My buddy AMB does this all the time and makes great photos of himself with deer he kills or I wouldn’t have had a clue.
I could have fooled around a little more and gotten a better one but wanted to get her back in water. First time I’d ever used the timer for a selfie with a fish.
