Depending on what info you are looking for, I might can help. Instead of separate investigations, we used to do joint investigations on abuse allegations whenever possible.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I got a friend who works in adult protective services. I enjoy telling her she’s a communist. She’s kind will get back after you most of the time when you give her shucks about other stuff but she never denies being a communist. There was a guy being “held against his will” at local hospital few years ago by DHR. He sounded very lucid. Kept calling the paper about his situation. I went to hospital, interviewed him, just wrote it up straight how he just wanted to go home but couldn’t. At Christmas too. I Told the nurses I knew personally that they were a bunch of pinko commies. They just laughed it off. “Oh, that guy? He’s crazy.” I think the guy probably wasn’t taking real good care of himself. But I think the Constitution gives you the right to not take very good care of yourself if you don’t want to. It scared me a little. Any of us could be that guy when we get a little older. Quote from the Green Mile went through my mind as I thought of that and someone coming to take away my freedom: “You’ll come in on your feet, but you’re going out on your back.”
“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”
On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

We have been neck deep with a foster since June 2018. The DHR we've been working with is Corrupt to say the least. That's why I'm wanting to speak with someone. Trying to expand my knowledge.

We actually just got them out of our lives again. We had them for a year and half when we got custody of the first 2 granddaughters and this time was about the same with the 3 year old. Your are right they are corrupt and most of them are lazy and need mental help themselves.

I wish I could help, but that is not the side of DHR that I worked with. I'm sure you've learned more about that aspect already than I know.

I have no idea what is going on but from what I know the ones in Marion county are terrible from all reports. This guy seems to have a bad taste about them as well. I am not sure what all went on but he has a whole site dedicated to hating on alabama DHR https://fightdhr.com/

I don't think I have ever heard anyone say anything good about DHR.
Straycat is the only other person on this site that I can think of that might have some insight since he and his wife fostered in the past as well.

I've personally known of two different "familys" that didn't even take good care of their own kids. DHR placed foster kids in and those homes. One was a 14 year old white girl that was placed into the home of a 30 year old ghetto queen with a live-in boyfriend.

FFP and I talk regularly. Y'all keep him and his family in your prayers. They are standing in the gap for that precious child. I've personally known of two different "familys" that didn't even take good care of their own kids. DHR placed foster kids in and those homes. One was a 14 year old white girl that was placed into the home of a 30 year old ghetto queen with a live-in boyfriend.
I've seen bad situations too, which relates to what I typed above. If more GOOD families or individuals would step up, stand in the gap, open their hearts and homes and foster, then there would be MORE good homes to help stop the bad placements. But as it is, there are close to double the foster children in care than there are foster homes. That includes DHR homes and Alabama Baptist, Agape, Lifeline etc... So the plight of the foster child once in care is there are not enough good loving homes. Most of us could make a positive impact if we chose. Food for thought.

Our fosters last court date was Wednesday. The mother failed a surprise drug test Tuesday evening. Morphine and Amphetamines and they went ahead and closed the case, granting her custody of not one but two babies under 2. I cannot fathom how that has happened. We've experienced a plethora of lies and cover ups from DHR. They are actively working against the child's best interests. We can't say anything to anyone for fear they will withhold her from us completely. Currently they (the drug addict family members and parents of our girl) allow us visitation and we still have her at about 50% of the time. They know they can't care for them. We provide diapers and some food and clothing, but we have limits. We absolutely adore this child and she thrives with us. Why take the child from them the first time over drugs when you're going to let them take drugs during testing? It makes zero sense to us.
So I'd like to talk to someone further up the chain who may be willing to review the case for issues that may change the situation.
We KNOW we will get her back one day. They've been on drugs their entire lives and still are. Sooner or later they'll tie up fighting or something else will happen. Right now it looks like anything short of felony charges isn't likely to have any impact.
June 2018 I was 6 months from retirement and looking at building a place to retire to on the lake. The next day it all changed with this child coming into our care. I'd not trade her for anything but the stress over the last 18 months has taken it's toll on us. This isn't how I saw my retirement from firefighting. I'm willing to sacrifice for this child but damnit man we need someone in our corner.
