I suppose nothing is ever out of the question, but that's going to be a Jan 10 thru Jan 31 rut for the most part. We hunted all around northern Lee / southern Chambers, and some in norther Macon counties for 20 years, 99% of the "rut" we saw would be middle of January. Seems like every once and a while there'd be a big buck killed "following" some does on New Years. I personally would see a full-on grunting chase the opening week of bow season on some of that land every year, but I really can't explain that.
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

If your headed to Shorter may want to know the rut for Macon county. 1/15-1/30 are the 2 weeks I’d want to hunt Yep....that would be Macon County. I agree....from about Jan. 10th to the 31st is the Norm. I've been hunting Macon County for close to 45 years...
