I guess that's another thing I can put on my list of things to be thankful for. Our rural mail carrier is a wonderful lady who has done a great job for us for many years. Never have had a single issue with her of any sorts.

UPDATE: i got mail yesterday in my box - *AND* nearly caught up with the lady; she drives a white Jeep & sped off before i could get to her (and give her those inches!)

I hope nobody here works for the USPS. IF so, I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule, but the service we've had were I live is HORRENDOUS.

In my business we still get paper checks depending on the people paying. During the course of about 4 months, we started getting non-payment from companies that were like clockwork. After a little investigation , come to find out the checks were issued. Close to 40k worth in 4 or so months just ended up missing. Well, we weren't the only ones. The USPS told us that they were aware of the matter but they couldn't disclose any more info. Ended up reading in the paper where a carrier was taking them. And get this, they couldn't fire that person until the investigation was over. I called to follow up and guess what ? NOTHING. Never heard a word about it since.

And on top of that, one of the laziest, hard to train Millennials that ever worked for me was about to get canned ... .where did he get a job at to leave me ? USPS.... I'm glad he's gone, and I know he'll do fine there.

12/4/19 UPDATE: just heard from a special assistant to Senator Richard Shelby's office, located in Tuscaloosa; she's requested an authorization form for me to return (which I have) so they can kick off an "congressional investigation" in my issues ...

Damn, may be the fastest our political system has ever worked. Be careful, it may break trying to move so fast! Good job, man.

Can you mount one on your porch and make her get out to deliver the mail? If so I would have one up this afternoon and call the post master to let them know your new drop off location.

Wall-Mounted Mailboxes
To replace your curbside mailbox with a wall-mounted mailbox, you must get your local postmaster's permission.
Choose from a variety of mailbox sizes and styles; mounted mailboxes are not required to have a PMG seal of approval.
Get a wall mailbox that can hold a normal day's mail volume, including letter-sized envelopes, postcards, and catalogs.*
Place the mailbox near the main entrance so your mail carrier can easily see it.

Just found this. Maybe the postmaster will let you do it since the mail bitch has such a problem.

according the official/federal letter I received, the answer to that is - no. the mailbox is to be located 6-8" from the curb/road & 41"-45" high to the bottom of the box/opening to the mailbox.

hmm ... let's see what Sen Shelby's office advises before going down that route ... but the interesting thing about this is, I'd catch her delivering on my Blink security camera every day ... thx for the info!

12/5/19: got a reply back; Senator Shelby's "congressional inquiry" has been initiated & is actively underway ... as is the USPS OIG's office investigation

Wow you might actually get something done. You must be very impressive on the phone.

Maybe you could call the DOJ about the investigations into the democrats 2016 election....

... acquired over a very long career, including a stint w/the federal gov't in Wash, DC ... the truth will prevail; just have to be persistent & factual & have the proof ... tampering with mail is no joke; Google it ...

[Linked Image]

here's the thing -- the letter from the Postmaster said that this crazy carrier is pitching a fit on over 250 families where i live; i happen to know that one elderly lady, who's physically incapable of moving her box, has not received mail in over 1 month ... this has gone on long enough; it's time for a resolution ... my exact words to Senator Shelby's office were: "all I want is my mail to not be tampered with, to arrive on time, and for this issue to be settled moving forward." ... what they do w/this carrier i'm not concerned with; i just want my deg'gum mail ...

So, what is this high and mighty bitch doing with 250 peoples daily mail that she's not delivering? I'd think she could do time when this all shakes out.

no idea what all she is doing; but if my mail is any indication, it’s not good for everybody — or her, eventually
