Good grief what a backstrap. I was talking with a customer in BC yesterday that hunts moose. He said you best have a good aim, sharp knives, and a tarp to drag out the meat. You want to cut them up and get them out quickly because of bears. You want to put them on the ground quickly because they will charge you. He also said they taste better than a whitetail does.

BC has some monster roosevelt elk. As far as moose, it's GOOD STUFF. we had some lucky guys draw tags and kill moose when we deployed to Cordova.

My late grandmother has had all of the big game meat available in North America except sheep and goat and she said that by far, the best was moose.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Have always heard Moose and Elk were the 2 best indigenous forms of venison in North America. That much meat would last a man quite some time!

There’s a big ole hunting world right here in North America. Unfortunately I haven’t gotten to experience yet. Someday soon.

Moose is the best I've had. when i killed mine the guide said keep shooting until it goes down because they can run along way before they go down.

It takes two people to pick up a hind quarter.

Why don't they debone the meat? It would pack a whole lot easier. Is there some rule?

That inner loin is huge. That is more impressive than the backstrap.
