I’ve been looking to buy a truck for the past few months and have been looking at used from 2016-2018 but the prices are crazy,I’ve been noticing dealerships advertising all these rebates and have crew cab 4x4’s and Z71’s for $35k and up,I’ve emailed a few but can’t get them to send me an out the door price by email, have any of you guys bought a crew cab 4x4 or Z71 lately and what kind of deal did you get?i don’t need all the bells and whistles, just 4wd and crew cab,I don’t want the custom model though, any feedback on price and dealerships to deal with would be great.

I've looked off and on and it's near impossible to find a 4x4 with a regular cab or extended cab and short bed, everything has 4 doors. I don't want a long wheel base on an off-road truck, that's just asking for trouble As much as I love the look and maneuverability of the regular cab, I'm spoiled by four doors. I don't think I could ever have another truck without four doors.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

If they won't deal with you via email or text, you need to find a new dealership. That's how all this happens now. Going into the dealership to negotiate is for people who don't know any better. Yep, it can also be like pulling teeth to get them to give you an "out the door" price dollar figure, even in person............all they want to do is talk "monthly payment".
There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars 2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement 3. Taxation Is Theft

I've put 1500 miles on my f150 so far this year. I'm about as local as it gets. I've got 2 leases, one is 3 miles north, other one is 3 miles south. Too damn peaceful and quiet out here in the country to go anywhere I don't have to. I dealt with people all of my life, so I'm still over my quota in that regard

According to a friend, the number of folks who pay cash is 5% or less. Payment is really all that matters to people, and the car dealers are smart enough to know it.

Check Laura Buick GMC in Collinsville, Illinois. They sell more Buick/GMC vehicles than anyone else in the country. Looking at the pricing on their website, I see why. I've seen on other forums where people fly into the area (St Louis I think) and the dealer has someone pick them up at the airport, drive them to the dealership to sign papers, then you're on your way home...and still save thousands over buying local.

Looking at the local dealer here in Mobile, the lowest price on a 2020 4wd crew cab GMC SLE trim is $40845...Laura GMC's lowest price on a 2020 4wd crew cab GMC SLE trim is $30000 ($10K difference) In fairness, that MSRP that your dealer has posted is fake. They'll knock $10k off, or at least 20% in my experience. No one pays MSRP anywhere.

I don't want a long wheel base on an off-road truck, that's just asking for trouble I prefer the maneuverability and agility of the half ton extended cab also. The ones made the last ten years are not as maneuverable and agile in the woods, off road terrain etc. as they were in the past. They have them all bulked up and flared out and up which I can't stand.

That is what I did on my last truck. He was pissed off and told me I couldn't get he discounts without financing. I informed them that I never said I was financing and that if they didn't want my check I would go elsewhere. They took the check.

My understanding with GM finance is that you are obligating yourself to 2-3 months of payments, then you can payoff.

That explains it then but thats crazy and makes no sense. I'll bet the government mandated mpg bulldoodoo figures in there somewhere
