I just bought the app. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to load coordinates ? I have a lot of waypoints I would like to transfer into onX.

You can add a way point on the map. But there's no way to input coordinates

You can type in the coordinates to the search bar and then save as a waypoint. That’s the only way I know of.

Yes you can. You have to do it on the website

Your gps will save them as a .gpx or .kml file extension

So bear with the technology challenged. I open onX on the trusty iPhone, go to the map page , click the magnifying glass, search bar opens, and this is where you type the coordinates. What is the format for coordinates? DMS ?

You may have to go to each marked pin in Apple Maps that you have saved as a favorite and somehow copy either the address or lat/long and transfer it to the OnX search bar.

Just click on the map as if you were highlighting a parcel and the coordinates of the spot you clicked will show up at the bottom of the page. That’ll show you the current coordinate format. Under settings, you can change the coordinate format to which ever one you like.

If someone else has coordinates on their onx map they can forward to you.

You can upload them from a couple different programs. Here’s the instructions

You have to hook your GPS up to your computer and get the waypoints file (.gpx or .kml)

Go to onxmaps.com on your computer, log in to your account and go to map content...., click on import and then choose either .gpx or .kml whatever you downloaded from your gps.
