When I was around 14 or so, I helped an older farmer down the road bale hay. Started helping him do some work around the farm too. I got there one afternoon and he was PISSED. His name was Hassel "Rip" Winkles. We had a mail carrier back then and her name was Cybill. She sounds just about like the lady your dealing with. She just shoved mail in every box and the neighbors delivered it to the correct houses when they got home from work. Seriously. Seems as though Cybill had left him a note saying his mailbox was 4" too tall and he had to fix it. I helped him fix the mailbox. He took the cut off piece of post and shoved it in the mailbox, along with a note to Cybill. I never did get to see what was on that note.

I can venture a decent guess at what the note said and it probably had something to do with that piece of post and ol Cybill's seat cushion.

12/9/19 UPDATE: contacted just now by consumer affairs w/the USPS out of Birmingham - said they are "actively" working the issue w/this carrier & asked if i'd received my mail this weekend -- i confirmed that i did receive my mail, undamaged & un-tampered with ... she asked me to contact her immediately & directly if any issues surface again ...

Sounds like someone lost a few pounds of ass after a chewing. Hopefully, they'll find out more and can her.

The USPS is what happens when the government runs a business. It's a flaming dumpster fire.

had the same kind of problem with an Alabama Power supervisor about getting power run to a trailer. He didn't like the Reble battle flag flying at my house and did everything to slow/stop the hookup. Even lied on input on company computers. Ended up getting fired over the computer lie and attempted cover up. My local guy called me to say he was on the way to hook me up...when he got here five minutes later he had received three calls from higher up tO GET MY DAMN POWER HOOKED UP. LOL

ALWAYS complain to the highest higher up you can get hold of. Chitt flows downhill faster and harder. When yer asshole persons supervisor gets three calls from way higher up things WILL happen.

When I went to Africa in 05 I hit a stonewall trying to get my passport. Could not get it done and was running out of time. I called a family friend that called President Bushs office. A Bush staffer called me that afternoon and said my passport would be in my mailbox by noon the next day from N.O. office. Just before noon a car drove up and deposited my passport in my mailbox, hand delivered from N.O. The staffer called a little while later that day and asked if I got my passport. Thats sending the chitt downhill at warp speed.

yes sir; i suppose this is why the postmaster in Northport was telling me to contact Senator Shelby's office; she knew it'd kick stuff into high gear, along with contacting/filing a complaint w/USPS OIG ... basically doubled up on the situation

I would make sure all the neighbors in your neighborhood area knew what was going on and who to call. Im sure you aren't the only one who has trouble with her.

for sure, and you're correct -- the postmaster's letter said that this is affecting more than 250 families in my area
