Ok, my wife drive a 2008 kia rondo, never had any real issues with it and have always serviced the car properly. New oil change bout 2 weeks ago . She gets in it this morning and it wont start. She comes and gets me and i listen to it, it turned over slower than normal but not like the battery was dead, it was acting like it was starved for fuel..we kept trying it in bursts until it finally started trying to crank..and then it finally did. It started up with what sounded like a loud lifter tick that lasted for about 30sec then went away..car is running fine now without issue. Cut it off and it fired right back up..no noise ..no nothing. I went ahead an told her to drive it and she made it to work fine. I checked all the fluids and they were fine. Im stumped..and id kinda like to have an idea of wheather or not its something i can fix or not, i was thinkin maybe fuel pump or somethin fuel related.

Then take a wire brush and some baking soda and warm water mixed and wire brush all the crud from around all your cables...

both of my cars, yes both had the corrosion issue yesterday. My wifes car would not crank, once i cleaned hers and got it cranked, mine died while pulling in the drive way, same issue. no idea why it happened at the same time, maybe weather, humidity, or just great luck.

Cold weather probably finished off the battery. Those little cars are tough on the batteries. They also have a lot of ticking engine noise when the oil starts losing viscosity. I notice it more in the 2.0 engine. Thats where I would start.

Fresh oil change says it may have an incorrect oil filter on it. Alot of filters have an anti drain back valve in them but some of the aftermarket filters do not. This can cause oil starvation problems and also low oil pressure which may prevent startup until the system get primed back up. Just something to keep in mind if using the cheapest oil filters. I'd start with the battery though. Cheap oil filters are a good way to ruin a motor. I usually go with either Wix or Baldwin
