I couldnt get a lesson or any good info so I went back to fishing below the dam. There are some crappie below the dam. Last two trips we caught 6species of fish one time and 7species the other. Alot of jack fishers not many keepers being caught. I went by myself monday, caught 21fish in three hours, mostly shorts though, had a good time though.

Bobby Garland Baby Shad, pick your color on a 1/32 or 1/16oz jig head.

When you get your deers kilt, I would sure like a lesson. Im not saying I want your secret spot. Im saying you have knowledge I do not have. I would like to know how to go to guntersville and catch a crappie, what to look for, where they stay at what time of year. I absolutely do not know what im doing and if I do run up on them, its by accident.

I want to be in on the lesson too, as long as it doesn't involve sitting under a bridge. I can catch them good from February through early June but fail during the fall and early winter.

The bite has slowed way down. One mistake a lot of crappie fishermen make is getting a late start. The first 3 hrs of daylight are prime time and the more clouds the better. I see a lot of guys that don’t even start fishing til 8-9.

Bass bite good in fall and winter. Just change species for a couple months

I went to Weiss today for the first time ever. I went with the intention to shoot docks. I ended up with 7 keepers. I marked 2 productive docks to fish later. Lot's of hunting and looking and not much fishing and catching, but it's better than I've been doing.

Maybe that's my problem. I usually go in the afternoons.

Sucked today too! There was absolutely ZERO room around or under any of the bridges. I think everybody had the same idea today.
