Mac is not the backup at Bama because heās a scrub.
Heās at the least as good as Greg McElroy.
He just has to utilize weapons around him.

Why the confidence in Bama? Sure if Tua was healthy Iād say we out score them. Mac Jones has played against Ark and WCU and I donāt know one of those two would beat Hoover. Bamaās D is about as bad as Iāve ever seen it. Canāt stop the run and canāt get off the field on 3rd downs.
Auburnās D is about as good as Iāve seen It and the front 4 will wreak havoc. Mac wonāt be able to move the ball running for his life or laying on his back. Captain Bo Nix will do just enough be effective and not lose it. AU will control the clock and pull this one out 24-20. All this nonsense about Bama belonging in the CFP will disappear. The only good thing to come out of it is Gusās job will be safe IF he still wants it. Iām afraid he might not anymore.
I hope Iām wrong but Iām afraid Iām right.

I hope Iām wrong but Iām afraid Iām right. Very well said! This is a very realistic probability unless Mac puts on his big boy pants on Saturday. He needs to settle down and depend on the team around him to make plays. he doesn't have to win the game himself, but he needs to take care of the football and play a solid game.
