Had to have the septic tank pumped today. I had it pumped 10 years ago and that was the first time it had been pumped since installation in the late 70s. My household had gone from just me for several years till January when my son and 2 granddaughters moved in due to the divorce from his unfaithful wife. According to the water bill, water usage has tripled. ALL drains go to the septic tank. That will change this weekend with only toilet water going in there by Monday.
All that being said in order to get a realization of the ultimate situation...... my field lines aren't draining as they should/are overwhelmed/have tree root issues. The guy that pumped the tank recommended copper sulfate to kill the roots and hope for the best and he wasn't optimistic.
My question is how much chemical can/should I add? Is there such a thing as too much? Is it harmful to the concrete tank if I really pour it to it? The offending trees will be cut very shortly. Can I expect any relief or should I go ahead and get my noose ready?
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I used some to kill snails in a fountain a few years ago. Probably some info online about it. I can ask my cousin. He has a masters degree in horticulture.

I was having the same type of problem a year ago. We had our grey water ran out into the woods. It took a couple weeks to acclimate but after that all has been fine. Our peoblem started with liquid coming up in the yard about two years ago. I had a new field line put in, one of the half dome type. That handled the problem for about a year then the same thing happened again in a different spot. Getting the grey water out of the system fixed the problem.
