Alright boys, here’s my recipe:
Preheat oven to 450 Put a stick and a half of butter in the freezer for 15 minutes. In a bowl, mix together 3 cups all purpose flour, 1/2tsp salt, 4 tsp baking powder, and 1/2tsp cream of tartar. Take butter out of freezer and either dice up as small as you can get it, or use a grater. Mix butter in with dry ingredients. Mix 1 egg and approximately 1&1/4 cup light vanilla almond milk (trust me, they need sugar. You could substitute 1 cup regular milk and 3tbsp sugar) into the dry ingredients until you get the right consistency. You may need a little more or little less milk, so add it gradually and mix in. Take dough out and place on floured surface, I use a Granite countertop. Fold the dough over on itself and kneed it back out using your hands, repeating about 10 times. Leave the dough about an inch thick, and then cut into approximately 2-2.5” circles using a cup or dough cutter. Bake until golden brown.

You almost lost me at "vanilla almond milk..." Man I made them a few weeks ago with regular milk, and I swear the almond milk ones turned out better. We don’t keep regular milk in the house anyways, so it works out great for us.
