On a small food plot in the corner of a clear cut/field with pines to my back, hardwoods to my left and wind in my face! Shooting the first deer in range without spots on it or with it! Praying for safety and success as always!

I figured if I didn’t shoot one before 8 I’d be in a real rush to get to the airport in time. Wait hour after the shot, hour to track and drag, hour to clean it and get on ice, hour to get camp cleaned up..... I just sacrificed my hunt and put out 12 bags of corn at 6 spots for my dad who will be there the rest of the week and the rest of my family this weekend. Hope they get something!
