Brings back memories of a guy we had in a club I was in a while back who did the same thing, even though we had rules against stomping the woods down. He said hey man, I found your climber over there on a tree when I was walking around. I replied, that’s great, but it’s not lost and I knew where it was when I hung it on the tree!!

Yes, that's the answer. Pass some more rules. rolleyes

If you find yourself in a club that keeps adding to the rules every year, it ain't the rules that is the problem....

These individuals usually stay on roads, trails and easy to access areas. Just find the nastiest, least friendly place to enter and hunt there. The only pressure on these locations will be you.

I am lazy and opted out of the whole club process. I lease some land and hunt family property.

Well I can’t get into details because we have some serious IP going into this one but it’s like a big tent with ultra violent lights and spray stations. Kinda like a car wash. We’ve been waiting on our investor to bring back pricing to produce in mass but haven’t heard from since he went back to Nanjing 5 week ago. Anyone know a Reginald Wilmer Chen from Adamsville? He says he was born in Hong Kong and moved here when he was 3.

What if he was squirrel hunting all over the place or rabbit hunting without dogs? All of this should be spelled out in the by-laws.
If it’s not, he sounds like he’s enjoying himself which is a rarity these days....

My son was in a club a couple years a go. He works shift work so he was off a good bit during the week when others were working. Well he was running several camera's and checking them weekly. This was his first year in club, mine also so we were basically learning the land, how the deer moved on it etc. Well we were sharing pictures and places of the deer we were getting but a couple of guys got to bitching about us roaming all over the place even though it was before season and some in bow season. I thought it was funny though because opening week of rifle came and went and no deer were killed, we didn't even go. The next week it turned cold and him and I went up for a couple days. The first morning he shot a big 11point and that evening I killed a really nice buck with my bow. The next day I killed another nice 9 point with my bow. These guys were fit to be tied. 2 of these deer were some of the biggest ever killed on the property. They were all convinced we were ruining everything when in reality we were patterning the deer and their movements. I have walked in to my stand changed cards in my camera, climbed up and killed mature deer an hour or 2 later. if you use proper care you aren't ruining everything by checking camera's.

I set a rule on my land that there is no scouting during the season.

central ala,
2 things hunting in Alabama you will have to deal with every year at some point are other people and hot weather. Master them 2 and the rest will seem easy.

We have a guy on our club that does the same thing. I try to wait till a good rain or just before a good rain to check any cameras. This idiot does it every 2 days regardless...and he has a lot of cameras.

So I I join said club next year will y’all show me where all the good spots are. I’m thinking that would be no and I would be told to find my own good spots. This is something that has always bothered me about clubs. Go try to scout and then people complain about this exact thing.

It’s probably the fact that he’s had all year and now he’s doing it during bow season.

That is funny. If you don't scout at all during the season you either aren't a hunter OR ya hunting a small tract. You're only hurting yourself if not scouting.
