11 for us he knows how to shoot a gun and have retired neighbors so someone is always around You are going to leave an 11 year old at home alone with a gun? What instructions does he have to use the gun? Aim for center mass, it makes an easier target. this, I had a .22, .410 and a 30-30 above my bed since about 10 years old. My kids know guns arent toys to be played with just like I did.
