After swapping some scopes around, I had 3 rifles that needed sighting in prior to season. I knew I screwed up waiting until this weekend to do it, but didn't have a choice for various reasons.
I knew the public range would be a dumpster fire the Sat before gun season, but Ho-Lee-Chit I wasn't prepared for what awaited me. I thought getting there early would help, but that place was a zoo by 9am.
There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars
2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

I swear it was like some anti-gun/hunting, anti-southern group did a parody of what yankees and liberals think of hunters/gun folks

Glad to have my own place to shoot, when we lived in Auburn I would go to Tuskegee National Forest range and man it was a circus. Watched on of Auburn’s footballers talking on the phone shooting a pump pistol grip 12 gauge nearly blow is hand off.

AU! Don't be giving away info for them brasshawks to scrounge up brass early AM. It's a miracle folks don't lose fingers&eyeballs stopped some jackleg from forcing '06 ammo in his 7 mag last week.
Skinny is my EX.Alcohol was involved.

AU! Don't be giving away info for them brasshawks to scrounge up brass early AM. It's a miracle folks don't lose fingers&eyeballs stopped some jackleg from forcing '06 ammo in his 7 mag last week. Was at the range at Cahaba a few weeks ago. So, some guy two benches to my left was pounding through magazines with his AR equipped with a muzzle brake  and sprayed brass everywhere to his right. After he emptied a magazine he starts crawling around on the ground under my feet collecting brass while I'm still shooting. I was wishing I had a muzzle brake to pop one off just as this IDOT crawled in FRONT of me right under my barrel.

Probably the only time I would want a muzzle brake. I can't imagine the level of stupid at Skyline this weekend with it being closed for so long this summer.

Cahaba was busy yesterday afternoon. The range officers were keeping things pretty straight. There was one young adult that was a little overly excited by all the goings on.

I always go this week and I get there right when the sun comes up. Get there at 5:45 and start shooting as soon as the sun comes up. I've always made it out of there before 7am and usually had it to myself
