Kind of like 17k off a 60kntruck here in town. I've never paid 17,000 for a vehicle. Thinking about retiring in a couple years and hope never too. I did actually pay a touch over $17k for a brand new truck, back in 1992. Thats the last new I bought and the most expensive one I've ever owned.

It depends on the time of the year and even the time of the month. The more they need a sale the more of a deal you will get. The key is being willing to walk and actually walking if you can’t come to an agreement. If they don’t call you to come back, go elsewhere. Be reasonable though you can’t expect a new car to be bought for and absurdly low price.
