Why do all y'all think that is an old squirrel?
Is it because its gray so being gray makes it old?
I personally think it is a color phase.
I may be wrong but I'm sticking with that idea.

I hate squirrel. I’ve had it cooked several different ways and just flat out don’t like it. Austin cooked some this weekend that was pretty tasty

I killed one colored just lie that near Suttle in the 70's, had it mounted. Someone stole it from my camp mid 80's
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I may be wrong but I'm sticking with that idea. I thought the same thing, then I went and looked real close at the picture. I still think that is the reason for most of those comments, however if you look real close you can tell "he" is an old joker. I think it is an odd color phase of a fox squirrel.

me and a friend were trying to shoot a gray haired fox squirrel off a limb with two 12 gauge shotguns and after 8 shots the squirrell fell without 1 pellet penetrating the skin, every shot bounced off. that squirrel was so tough that it took everything I had to sink a knife through the skin of the neck. I wouldve rather skin a whole deer than that one squirrell. iam sure others have probably expirenced the same.
Should’ve used high brass.
