I USE to think the Under Amour 3.0s/4.0s were the best thing every invented until I bought some First Lite Merino Wool and boy my minds changed in a hurry! First lite is miles ahead of under armor. They just didn't have the benefit of eloquent marketeers. But, they have a far superior product.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Under Armor Cold Gear thermals, then fleece mid-layer. FYI, if you buy fleece mid-layer pants that are marketed as a hunting mid-layer, you'll pay out the butt for them.......but if you go to Academy and buy some of the cheap, fleece sweatpants, they work just as well and are roughly $10/pair.

I use fleece pajama pants from academy, went one size smaller so they would fit a little snug and not be bunched up under the outer layer. They work very well

They work very well I use M65 field jacket liner and M65 pants liners. They are excellent for a mid layer and very light and packable. The pants liner futon up the legs and can be taken off or put on without taking your boots off. I wear a merino base layers, field liner and shirt and pants down to 30’s. The liners also seem to act as a windstopper.

Filson Heavyweight 100% Merino Wool Base Layer And Wool X Heavyweight 100% Merino Wool is what I wear. I never feel cold doubling these up together.
