I could see Bama drop, but still be in the top 4....but as other teams start wining games and playing and winning conference championships, they will jump Bama.
Realistically Bama's best shot is to go out with style points. Big convincing wins from here on out and hope that a few teams cannibalize themselves along the way. In past years, I could see a way in, this year doesn't seem as easy.

Need AU to beat GA and us kill AU then we can fight with Oregon for 4th spot providing LSU wins out it'll be close to impossible tho without a conference championship

Get your outback bowl tickets and enjoy it. I agree. Not sure that would be a bad thing for the long term. No way Gus gets fired at 9-3. He definitely needs at least one more year developing Nix and calling plays.

Next year with his history of (lack) QB development, loss of Sr. players, and all these home games will be on the road, I don't expect him back the year after. Just my opinion though.
