The shooting range was closed for reconstruction. After many bullet holes through the roofs, posts, and benches, it was due for repairs. The construction company hired was in charge of the awnings only. They completed that. The company that supplies and installs the concrete swivel shooting benches is completely separate from the construction crew. Those benches were actually delivered tonight and installation will begin in the morning. As for the timing, that is not completely in our control. There is a lot of inspections, plan approval, etc. that had to completed before construction could begin. It will be up and running again on Wednesday morning. Feel free to call my office with any other questions/ comments and I’ll be happy to help. Brae, I certainly can wrap my head around the need for redoing the wood work, and the new awnings certainly looked well done. I appreciate you answering my question, for future closings, can they be done in the spring?

Inspections and building plans take time and was not in our control. As for future closings, as long as this range is taken care of properly by the users, we do not anticipate any other lengthy closures in the foreseeable future.

The last time I was at Skyline was after the last renovation-upgrade, and it looked fine. WTF happened for it to need more?
^^^^ This. And now I have my own range and feel extremely blessed to not have to mess with that crap.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Same here, Wiley. I have a place where I can shoot firearms and archery at quite a distance if desired.
Something like the destruction at Skyline or Swan Creek or others isn't like accidentally firing a crossbow arrow into the ceiling of a public range. The goobers who destroy ranges or other public areas to the point of needing rebuilding-renovation are the ones who eventually, in some cases, cause them to be closed OR help cause increases in usage fees. Stupid dipwads.

Thats a dang nice table 257. Too bad the ones at Skyline will probably be destroyed in 5 years. That does look nice! I'm gonna go up to Skyline tomorrow and see if that bench can tote a load of TSS 8s at 10 yards.
