Scapes, rubs, what does it matter anyhow? I find scrapes almost every month of the year. More in March probably than any other month. Ain’t never changed where or how I try to kill a mature buck and never will - in souf Alabama. You have a much different experience with scrapes and rubs than I do.

I’ve hunted in Montgomery, Bullock, Lowndes, Monroe, Crenshaw and Choctaw counties for thirty five years and don’t remember seeing any scrapes or rubs until a couple of weeks before the rut. Maybe I just wasn’t looking hard enough I don’t know.

Maybe I just wasn’t looking hard enough I don’t know. I was on a property in south Montgomery co the other day that was covered up with fresh scrapes. I think its probably something about mature bucks being in the population so it could be very site specific.

The rut ain't early this year, it's the testosterone . Think " I was ready, but she wasn't willing." The deer will just have to settle for a burger and a grape snow cone Dropped her off early but I did not got home
