I wasn’t always a gun whore. I hunted with a 7400 30/06 about 20 years. Then there was a A-Bolt II for 12 or 14, also in 30/06. Then there was a laminate Ruger 77 Frontier in 7/08 for 10 or 12. My gun trading malady began when I got on aldeer. It’s going to take some time and careful thought, but my goal for 2020 is to find my “forever rifle.” It will be light and compact in a short action caliber, probably 6.5. Do I go nice, like an X-Bolt Micro Midas, or utilitarian, something with plastic stocks and maybe camo paint??? There have been a few keepers in and out of my hands last few years. The Tikka was nice. So was the American Go Wild.

Hard to beat a Model 7 Remington.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

If I was looking for a forever rifle a Sako 75 Finnlight would be near the top of my list. Would also look at a Browning Hell's Canyon.
Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.
Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.
Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?
