In a tree finally, left the for wheeler at home and hoofed it up the mountain with my summit viper....omg...
I’m at 1020 EL, and found a couple of white oaks dropping goodies with a lot of feeding sign under them. This south wind has me in a bind, I didn’t know whether to climb on The uphill side of trees (north) or stay below them. Trail seems to be E-W, I got on the upper side in hopes the wind forecast is accurate and the winds don’t die at dark.

Wheeler this afternoon set up on a jam up food source in between bedding and the river. Hope one eases on by before dark.

In the stand on the edge of a food plot with water oaks dropping like rain. Im hoping for a good evening.

Been planting all weekend with only a couple of sits here and there. Suppose to head home this pm but saw a good deer on his feet at 1:30 so I decided to stay and drive home early in the am. Sitting in a stand I kill every bow season out of. The problem is I told nomercy to sit here yesterday being the nice cousin. Well between him flinging arrows at deer and pigs my hopes ain’t high.

I let her lay for two hours and the darn coyotes had already gotten to her. One side of the ribs and guts had been eaten on. I’ve got pics if someone wants to post I’ll text them to ya.

Normally it would have been. I decided to try an expandable broad head. I think it was the generic Rage hypodermic or something like that. I bought them last year at end of bow season.

I just got in saw 2 nannies. I am hunting a big 6 point. He might score in the 120's he is at least 19 inches wide.

I saw 11 today, all fawns and does. Saw the biggest coyote I think I’ve ever seen and was wishing I had my rifle for him. It was a good day & much needed time away from life crap. Hunting til Wednesday so maybe I’ll get lucky and sling an arrow at one.

Killed a 162lb doe this afternoon at 4:55pm with my crossbow at 9 yards.
