I’ve got a short sidewalk behind the house I’m wanting to get rid of and repour. It’s 4” thick. Would a concrete blade for my circular saw be a waste of $35.00? I can get a 65 lbs demo hammer from work but I’m going to end up needing a clean edge where the sidewalk joins the patio. Any suggestions? Thanks

You may could rent a concrete saw from somewhere local at a decent price. I wouldn't use a demo hammer if I wanted nice clean edges.

Get the gas powered concrete saw and the demo hammer. Cut some lines so you get a clean break and go to work with the demo hammer.

Rent demo saw and cut line deep at edge of patio. Use water on blade. Then back off about 3 inches and start cuttin parallel lines about 2in apart to bust them lines out to make a hole to start prying the chunks out. Just bust them up big enough to pick up. Im fixin to raise mine up about 10 inches to raise my yard elevation. Dont forget about expansion joints.

for that small of a job I would just get an abrasive blade for your saw and score it halfway down. one abrasive disc will score about 6ft with a little water but it does get smaller. last time I bought the metal wheel for about $20 and it worked allright without getting smaller.

However you do it, please use a machine with an integrated water delivery system or use a lot of water from a garden hose. Silicosis isn’t a joke.
