Very light frost this morning. Heading to a prime piece of Lee Co property. Will more than likely be going in blind to a general area where I have the freedom to pick a tree. I’ll know I’ve said it before but this will definitely be the last hunt I go on before I move to Orlando. Pretty much anything but a spike is in trouble this morning.

I brought my crossbow to the hardwoods this morning. Lots of white oaks have been dropping in here. I’m gonna try for my first ever crossbow kill, but it’ll still be very tough because this stand I’m in is in the wide open lol...Good luck to y’all

Me and my son are in a tree on Wheeler. I havent hunted this spot in several years. I've killed some here before but it got slow so haavent been back in a while. I dont know if it's all the public land YouTube and such but the amount of people hunting wheeler seems to be up. There were 3 vehicles where we are and seen a couple more parked at a different spot coming in.

Checking in from Dallas county. Cold here. 32 degrees on the thermometer on the porch at the clubhouse. Frost on the ground and no wind made it feel like one of those mornings in January. Back in my climber on the backside of my duck pond that is still dried up. Swamp chestnuts are falling. Thank you Lord for one more sunrise

Just smashed a donkey head doe. This old doe had me spotted for 10 mins and still pulled the shot off. Heard her ran about 50 yards and I could her flopping in the leaves. 2nd deer ever with a bow. Missed this shaky feeling. Wooh

Big bobcat just snuck by. Turkey’s clucking. Need a pine goat to come by

I saw a small doe at about 80 yards at 7:30

4 bucks and a doe. 2 of the bucks were studs. Never came closer than 100 yards to
me in this food plot.

Another doe, 4 pt and spike just left. Little spike was rubbing his horns hard on a cedar before he left.

Cowhorn just walked right under me. 15 yards. Woulda been a chip shot. I let him walk. But don’t think it didn’t cross my mind. I drew my bow back, hit my anchor point and settled my pin. A flick of my finger was all that stood between him and the freezer

Saw a doe and fawn around 8:15. They kept fake coming my way. Never got closer than about 80 yards

Had a guy climb down about 80yds behind us. Never knew he was there. I thought the water was too deep to walk back where we came by boat but guess not. Public land hunting for you

I let a young 8 point walk at about 10am. Found a rub on an 8” diameter cedar. They are about to bust loose here!!!

I went in with daylight to keep from bumping deer off the corn when it’s still dark. Made it about 12 feet up in my climber when I heard deer on me sure enough a bachelor group of 3 bucks two of which i’ve got on camera and would shoot. My bows on the ground I stood still and they walked on by at 18 yards.

Thats sucks...i didn't see any came home for lunch and 2 r eating corn by my driveway smh

Cold, foggy, 6 mile boat ride this morning. It was so foggy that I had to drive by using my GPS headed down river. Wound up seeing three females. Gonna head back here directly

Well got lucky this morning!!! Been studying the map, on hunt stand hard and contour lines at our hunting club. Found something that caught my eye on there Monday, and went and hung a stand there Tuesday knowing it was gonna rain for two days! Fast fwd to this morning I thought the deer would be coming through early, and I was right this dude came down the trail right by me and I made the shot at 40 yds. It wasn’t the best shot, but it was quartering just enough to be lethal! This is my first racked buck with a bow! Got Him in Mt. Olive

Back on wheeler. Decided to hike about 1.5 mile back, didn’t look good so I backed 2/3s of the way out. I set up under some oaks next to a stream. Saw some tracks on the bank, maybe fresh sign? Not expecting much, first time in this area. When do buck’s start rubbing? I’m only seeing old rubs.

Got out to a ground blind on our small chunk of land on Green Mtn in Huntsville at about 1:30. been seeing a lot of deer in the evenings on the cameras, so I’m hoping to get lucky.

Congrats possum. Ended up seeing a small buck when I got down this morning. Sitting on greenfield that was select cut around it about 3 weeks ago. Wind is iffy

I knew that my doe was quartered away but dang. Arrow went through her side, penetrated her lung then exited out of her chest and went through her neck cutting her wind wipe. (I suppose with her head being down eating walking away). Ram cats destroyed her.

First sit of the yr. Got here about 3 and was able to put corn out in three places then climbed back up a ladder over one bait pile about 4. Only seen a momma and a fawn so far.

I’ve seen 8 or 9 deer already...I had a 1.5 year old doe come in to 25 yds and she was straight down wind of me. She fed on acorns there for a few minutes and I never had a shot the whole time (behind some limbs). She ended up smelling me and started stomping. She took about 3 stiff-legged steps and I think I hit her good at 25 yds when she cleared the limbs

I hate pigs!!!! Bout to shoot a doe and she takes off. I turn and see pork walking to me. Now it’s pork loin for dinner.

I spent the day doing a little scouting and then hunting on Coosa WMA. Ain’t much left of it now but pines but there are still a few pretty places if you know where to look. Saw 16 turkeys, 5 hogs, and 2 does. Nothing in bow range.

My doe made it about 75 yds and was piled up!! What a weekend (3 does between me and my Dad)!!

Saw 10 does today at the lease could have gotten a shot on most but really didn’t want to. Did behead a rattler though

A 15 year old girl killed her first deer last night nice 10 pt at the club her first deer ever and with a bow! I dno how to post pics or I’d show it off for her
