So it turns out, as someone suggested, the third brake light on my 2010 F-150 was leaking causing the moisture odor. I replaced the gasket and put a bead of silicon in it to take care of the leak. The real story though is the ozone generator I bought off of Amazon for $79.00. The detail shop wanted $60.00 for an ozone treatment so I figured it would just about be a wash. Anyway, I ran it in the truck for 30 minutes, with the truck all closed up and the a/c on high and recirculate. After that, I put it in the garage with the windows down and set a box fan in there on high to air out the ozone smell. That was Thursday and so far absolutely zero odor. Well worth the money.

Hell you should start renting out your ozone generator. 1 bottle of bourbon as the rental fee

you can use it to treat your hunting clothes in a closet now too just be careful it breaks down elastic I’ve been using one for 3 years in a closet with all my hunting gear and have had the same set of underarmour cold gear in there with it all and it still fits tight. Hasn’t ruined any of my hunting clothes but has flat messed up some deer. I only run the ozone generator during deer season.
Yeah c’mon. Daniel White

I believe that brake light was a recall. The dealer replaced my 09 f150 light and housing in 2010.

Do you know what model you bought. My wifes explorer is leaking.

Ozone generators are great. Hotels use them to get rid of odors, especially cigarettes. In real estate they are used often to get rid of cigarette smoke smell.

I bought the Enerzen Commercial 6,000mg model Thanks. I will have one on order tomorrow. After reading the reviews on that model, it appears to work wonders. One review was from a guy who worked fire damage for a living. He said it out performed several units over twice the size and cost was a fraction of those units.
