Haven’t seen a LFTT thread in a couple days so I’ll start one while I’m on the porch drinking coffee at the camp deciding where to go. Beautiful weather today. Kill 2 fellas

Just settled in to a spot we call the duck pond that’s usually waist deep water by the time thanksgiving comes around. Usually put a hurting on wood ducks in here come December. Several huge swamp chestnuts dropping in here as well as a stand of persimmon trees that had fruit on them back during the work day. They are feeding pretty heavy on the wild rice that grows in the basin of this dried up pond. High hopes for this morning.

Hunting Bankhead National Forest this morning. I call these my pet deer, because it’s close to some houses and I believe they could hand feed some of them. I’m on pet deer doe patrol! Lol. I might see walkers or golf cart riders riding around the roads. The people in the neighborhood never can find me after seeing my truck, but it’s not cause they are not looking. I’m right off the side of the road hunting whiteoaks and trails. Good luck y’all!

Deer are moving. I’ve seen 3 rack bucks and 4 does in the last 10 minutes driving to work.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

You should bring a fishing rod in case the deer don’t move. Good looking spot!

Doe came through with a spotted fawn at her heel. Cool sight to watch little man frolicking around.

Just got settled in a climber on the backside of a food plot. Acorns falling all around. First sit of the year.

I’m back in the game as well. In a spot that I’ve been successful in the past later in the year, but decided to give it a try today. It’s a hardwood finger approximately 1/4 mile long and 200 yards wide surrounded by planted pines. I’ve killed several good bucks out of this tree late in January and it feels kind of weird to be in here with a bow in my hand

I'm after them this evening myself. Too pretty not to go. Up under a few hot red oaks on edge of planted pines.

Watched a small buck in the food plot this afternoon. Very interesting because the feeder went off at 5 and he never touched the corn on the ground. The tender new growth must have been really good.

Honestly this doesn’t surprise me at all but it’s the first time I’ve witnessed it.

Hit a doe about 510 pm. Hit was a little back. Found blood about 30 yards about an hour and a half after shooting but heard her get up and stumble through the woods so we backed out until this am.
