This was just what I needed to hear today.
Thanks for putting it out there.
I been in church pretty much all my life. It is an up and down journey just like you said.
There’s a great point in there too about finding a godly woman and how one half of a couple can build the other up. There’s tons of Scripture on that. Mine has had to bring me back around a time or two and she’s exposed me to a side of faith where I needed to be all along.

Gotchya, I looked back and it was jmudler. Was just curious as I have met one member from here while working an Emmaus Walk.

I’m sure your parents have told you about it or you’ve seen the change in them. For those who don’t know it is a three day experience that involves some great speakers, great food and the love of Christ. If you get a chance for you and your spouse to each go then give it a shot. Worst case you’ll come back refreshed, my experience has been you will be blown away.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I wish I could go back and change my decision at 13 years old but if I could I wouldn’t have a testimony that’s going to reach someone, someday. I do believe that God gave us all different stories for a reason. Between here and a fishing forum that I visit this has been viewed over 1000 times. Maybe it planted a seed with someone. Only God knows that. May He gain glory from this.

Thanks for sharing. It's great to hear how people have been transformed by God's grace. I went to Birmingham Tres Dias which is like the Emmaus Walk. I highly recommend going to either of the two.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I hope others followed through with the challenge. I posted this here and on a crappie fishing forum that I participate on too and my story has been viewed over 1200 times. Maybe it helped one of those readers.

I'd challenge you guys to share your testimony too. Regardless of how you share it, it's a story worth telling.

Thanks so much for your boldness to share and praise God for what He has done in your life

Most people, including American Christians, don’t know the Gospel and thank you for sharing it through your story and testimony

God created us in his image and for his purpose and plan

We were defiant to God, choosing a life that catered to our desires filled with sin that harmed ourselves and others

When there was no chance for salvation or eternity with God, because God is a perfectly just God that is pure, He sent his son Jesus to take our place and to take the punishment we deserved for our life of sin and defiance. Think of a court room scene, you get called up to be in trail at the end of your life and God is the judge. He list all the things you have done wrong (read Jesus words in Matthew 5 if you don’t think you have sin: anger, lust, etc) and God condemns you as guilty, as you should be, and sentences you to death. As the bailiff leads you to serve your sentence and die forever Jesus stands up and says no, I will take his place and take the wrath from God that he deserves. The only perfect sacrifice that could take our and cover our sins

Having faith in believing that Jesus Christ did take our place, is the son of God, and died on the cross, raised from the grave and defeated death for good, to be the sinless sacrifice for our sins to make us right and holy in God’s eyes. Believing this and repenting of our sins gives us eternity by the grace of God alone

REPENT AND BELIEVE! Anyone feel free to PM me at anytime if you have questions or are in a tough spot

Guys thanks for all the comments. I don't want to draw any attention to what I've done or what I didn't do, this is about the Grace and Mercy afforded to us by God through his son Jesus Christ. After seeing how many views this thread has it sort of makes me wish I did have a Facebook account so others or more people could see it. Spreading the Message is what this is all about.

👍you have made it crystal clear that you didn’t do anything but receive God’s Grace. great testimony and similar to mine in a way. I remember telling God that I wasn’t ready and maybe later in life I will take care of that. I praise Him daily for being patient and long suffering and holding back what I deserved.
