Dang 257, with the exception of storm surge, all any hurricane is made of is wind and rain.  My point was they’re not calling for it to be a hurricane

I think Opal had 130+ gusts in freaking Birmingham! Don't believe that was Opal. Coulda been...111 mph sustained wind for almost 12 hours in Andalusia, on that one.

Opal didnt get downgraded to a TS until it was almost over Atlanta. It rolled lower Alabama bad. Parts of Montgomery didnt have power for weeks.

Opal didnt get downgraded to a TS until it was almost over Atlanta. It rolled lower Alabama bad. Parts of Montgomery didnt have power for weeks. It was a Cat 3 when it was hammering Montgomery.
