Looks a a good team! Hope I can help out. I’m moving to Orlando first week in November. I know I’ll at least be hunting the first 2 weekends of bow season at my family farm in Bibb co. Then again thanksgiving break. Then hopefully MLK weekend in January. I also have access to 500 acres private land in Pierson, FL about an hour from Orlando, but I don’t anticipate killing a buck there. I’m sure I’ll get a doe and I’ll have to get lucky for a buck.

Deer Tracker signing in. I hunt in Lee County near Opelika/Auburn area. Have a torn rotator cuff in my left arm so my bow hunting will be very limited. Have let the shoulder rest the past 2 months but plan on trying to shoot the next few days to see if its possible.

Been a team member for the past 6 years. This can really be fun, whether we win or loose, if all our team members will participate (hunt and take part in the discussions).

Here! Got high hopes for the season. I’ll be attending two different SOA hunts as well as hunting some really nice public spots and saving my good private holes for the rut.

I probably won’t get to bow hunt much but into fun season my time frees up a little more. My lease over in Lamar County usually produces several good bucks each year so hopefully I can get them patterned.

Got 2 grandsons who play travelbaseball and me and the wife are getting ready to go watch our 11 year old play in Montgomery. I will be out of pocket usually till about 8 PM. But will check in tonight
Hopefully our other 2 members will check in . I looked at their activity and user posts and they are very infrequently.

We need to come up with a few team names to use. The sooner the better. Before they are all pcked over.

Later. Deer Tracker

Long day in Montgomery. Hit an hour traffic jam around Tuskegee exit 32. Anyone know Razorsharp123? He has yet to check in.

Tried shooting bow and can't pull it back due to hurt shoulder. Too much pain and not enough strength.
Went to adjust the poundage down on my bow but can't find the correct Allen wrenches.

Will run by Home Depot after work Tuesday

We do need to come up with some names and I will PM Razorsharp123 .

Ok so here's a few potential team names that I've had pop in my head while at work today. If y'all have something better I'm perfectly fine with anything.

Cervicide

Bambi Blasters

Corn Pile Campers

Hey Jlbuc I just remembered that you and I were on the same turkey team this year too. What are the odds?

There’s prob only 100 or so people that sign up for these competitions so maybe 5-10%. rofl. I just hope I’m not a bad teammate this year. This season will be the least amount I’ve hunted in the last 10 years.

I like Bambi blasters

bambi blasters sounds good to me.

I PM 'd Razorsharp123 and have heard nothing. Maybe he will show.

Last year the team I was on had 2 members that disappeared after the teams were selected.

Yeah I've never had good luck with everyone on my team participating in the deer contest. If I sign up I'll be on here talking and updating even if I don't kill anything.

I've yet to hunt but a good buddy shot a nice 10pt at the club yesterday afternoon but no luck on the recovery. I went back and helped search this afternoon still no luck but we did find the arrow about 200 yards from where shot, it is very thick and we ran out of daylight...he is going back down Saturday to keep looking and bambi blasters is good with me

It’s all good. Thanks for all you do in this contest.

I’m on my fifth sit this year. Had does in bow range on the first sit of the year but was after a buck. Hope to get on the board soon.

Hey Gents, sorry for my delay checking in, work has been running me ragged. I got after them on Tuesday and Friday of last week, but it will be Saturday before I am able to get back to the woods. If the weather will cooperate I will be heading out to my small lease to try and chase the big ten that survived from last year and has been hitting my small plot during daylight. (http://www.aldeer.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2681561&page=1).

I'm done before I get started unless I can come up with a crossbow to use. Arm has ached for over a week from trying to use bow from torn rotator cuff. Even if I left off the poundage, just the strain of pulling the string back is excruciating.
Gun season cant get here soon enough. I've even switched over to my 243 instead of my 7MM-08 to reduce recoil.
Next May me and Doctor Baker have a meeting at Jack Houston Hospital to get this fixed.

Hoping to get one more hunt in tomorrow afternoon before I move to Orlando next weekend. Then I most likely won’t be back in the woods until thanksgiving weekend. Gonna try and at least get us a doe before I move

The guy I hunt with went Wednesday and Thursday and saw deer at each sitting and shot and missed a doe at 30 yards. He said its pretty thick but is seeing deer. We are feeding. Still looking for a loaner crossbow!

Well guys I screwed up this weekend. Saw a bunch of deer at Uchee but never got a shot on any of the does. And then this morning I stuck an absolute giant at five yards and only got his shoulder blade so no penetration.

Hey gents, I got after them this weekend and got on the board with a small public land doe. Got her broken down in the field and will finish processing to the freezer this evening.

I was by myself initially, so I hope my pictures will count. Is someone more clear on picture posting? If so I could text over my pictures and we can see if they'll work.

Great job you guys. You young whipper snappers are making us old farts look bad. But keep them coming.

About 6 weeks ago, the pulpwooders called and said they were coming to thin every 4th roll in a week or two and would be in for about 3 or 4 weeks. Came as scheduled but cut off and on for 3 weeks and didn't get 1/4 of the property thinned. Said they were finished and would not be back till March. Had another job they needed to see about.
Yesterday afternoon, they called and said they would be there today. Not sure how long they intend to stay. Not looking forward to this interruption again.

Nice one!

Haven’t checked in a while but as luck would have it I have new employee orientation in Bham tomorrow and Friday, and the company agreed to fly me out Sunday afternoon instead of Friday. It just so happens that my family farm is only about 45 minutes from Bham so I should be able to squeeze in a few hunts this weekend.

I'm still on a dry spell since I shot that buck and didn't recover it. Gonna keep after them though. Once gun season comes in I'll get some points on the board for sure.

Hunted Friday and Saturday afternoon, only saw a fawn on day one. Sat on the ground Saturday afternoon cause there weren’t any good trees to climb where i needed to be cause of the wind. Had a doe come to 35 yards and picked me out trying to draw. May get a hunt or 2 in thanksgiving weekend

Set up ground blind yesterday and plan to hunt Sunday afternoon after church and lunch. Off work till Monday week December 2 so plan to try and hunt daily to add to our Team totals.

On another note, my high school, Central of Phenix City, is in the AHSAA Football State championship against Thompson after beating Auburn High last night 38-0. Game is scheduled December 4 in Auburn Coliseum

Went Sunday after church nursing a bad back and a very painful hamstring. Sat in Ground blind for about 3.5 hours to no avail. Weather was beautiful, wind minor and blowing in the correct direction but saw nothing. Actually saw 1 squirrel the entire sit and no birds which is very unusual. Hurt so bad and tossed and turned last night that I decided to take off today and let back and hamstring rest. Will try again tomorrow.
We have had the tree cutters in for around 3 weeks which in years past hasn't caused too many issues. But about an hour before sunset, I could hear a couple voices north of me on a county road that cuts through our property along with an ATV or two
Not sure if the deer are spooked or have gone elsewhere .

I went on a WMA gun hunt Saturday and saw what I'm pretty sure was a really nice buck moving through a cutover at about 350yds. Never could get a shot on him, all I could see was the top of his rack every now and then and little glimpses of body.

Went yesterday morning nursing a bad back, hunting side of a hill where the tree trimmers had thinned overlooking a hardwood bottom. Bad back situation worked out better than the hunting. Saw nothing but sat about 90% in comfort in my API Grand Slam Magnum. Had to stand a few minutes every hour to stretch out the back.

In today helping to get ready for Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving guys! I went last weekend and saw deer every sit, but they were either buttonheads or does with little ones. I’ve gotta work this weekend but I should be back out there the next weekend.

Went Saturday morning hunting a new spot I picked out Friday. About 20 minutes after sunrise, a nice big 8 point or better came ut of a thicket to my left into some more thick stuff. Stayed around in it for about 10 minutes then walked back to the other thicket not giving me a clean shot. i could have taken a low percentage shot but hopefully in the near future I can catch him in that area again. This time with a little better shot opportunity.

Had a good little run early. Got to hunt a lot more than I expected. But I officially closed on my house in Auburn today and live in Orlando now. I only have 1 more trip planned to hunt deer in Alabama this season on MLK weekend. I may get a couple hunts in Florida, but the property I have access to I won’t shoot a doe this year and prob won’t see any bucks big enough to shoot. Good luck the rest of the season fellas and maybe I’ll get lucky on my last trip.

I'm still trying to break the ice. This has been by far my worst season in a long time. But I'll be off for almost two weeks for Christmas so I'm pretty sure SOMETHING is gonna die.

Guys I'm sorry my season has been such a flop so far and I haven't put any points on the board. It ain't been from lack of hunting though I can tell you that. Still holding out hope that I'll find one worth shooting on our place, if not I've got a Stimpson SOA rut hunt coming up at the end of the month.

Headed up to the farm this weekend. First trip to bama since Thanksgiving. Hoping to get one more doe. I’ll be lucky to even see a buck lol. Will be nice to get outta the pine scrub of central Florida into some pretty timber.

I plan on hitting the Hollins rut gun hunt this weekend. Been hunting a buck up there with my bow that's laying down sign like crazy so I'm hoping that a doe will bring him out where I can see him with the rifle.

Great buck! I’ve been a few times but mainly seeing small bucks or yearlings. Gonna try to take the next doe I get a chance at.

Well guys my season is over. Gave it a pretty good effort these past 3 days, and managed to get a doe with my bow to make it 11 years in a row with a bow kill. Only saw one shooter buck all year and couldn’t get a shot at him with my bow. I moved to Orlando in November so this may be my last deer time I’m on cause I won’t be able to hunt much the upcoming seasons. Gave it a good run. Good luck to all y’all the rest of the year. Hope you kill some Bigguns

I must apologize for my poor showing and lack of participation for our team , Ton of family and personal issues this hunting season that allowed me to hunt only a handful of times to no avail. I just thank God He has been there with me and my family and will be there for us in the future.

I'm pretty much done for the year myself...may go one more time next Saturday morning...just didnt pan out this year on my #1& #2 target bucks...#2 buck broke his drop tine off on new years eve and I stopped hunting him after that. I passed several 115-125 inch deer that will be wall hangers next year waiting on one of the others just never happened...good luck to you guys the rest of the season

Finally got some points. Killed a doe on Fred Stimpson SOA this morning. Almost got a good buck too but a doe busted me when I was drawing my bow back.
