Was thinking about just taking all my arrows and getting them refletched from vanes to feathers so I could use them in my compound and and my recurve.

Will feather fletchings fly through my compound the same as vanes?

Or is it not going to be a big diffrence?

Feathers will be just fine in your compound. When I was hunting with a compound I carried 3 feather fletched and 3 vane fletched arrows with me in my quiver. I preferred the feathers and had the vanes as backup for rainy weather. Feathers are more forgiving of form and any inadvertent contact with your rest.

You're probably going to need a weaker spined arrow for your recurve.

The feather arrows wont make a big difference for your compound

What kind of arrow rest you using? A drop-away should be okay. I say "should" from principle, I've never owned one.

I still use shoot-thru prongs on a compound. And since stick shooters tend to use a good helical feather, they wouldn't work too well on a shoot-thru (constant contact).

I still use shoot through prongs too. So if the rest is the only thing that would affect the feather fletching I think I'll be alright using them.

Doesnt make sense to me but I figured that wood arrows with feathers would be cheaper than carbons with vanes. But I was definatley WRONG.

Like Shaw said, you're gonna need different arrows. I shoot carbons with my recurves and they work great. Gold Tips are hard to break. Full length 3555 arrows work well in most of my recurves. I shoot them in bows from 45# to 51#. I vary the point weight to stiffen or weaken the spine, depending on the bow.

Guy at Full Draw estimated me some at $9 a Arrow. He fletches them there. The only place I have seen them with feather fletchings is 3 rivers. And they are all pretty high.

Check out ebay. That's where I buy all my bow bullets.
