A members kid is having a real tough time which is causing the member a lot of stress, it seems, and he asked for prayer and used an unfortunate phrase that was taken personally by some. So the member recieved some prayers but caught a bunch of hell for it, too. I figured he's probably going through enough with his kids problems so I just kind of ignored the "true Christians" part. He purposely put it in there, it was made loud and clear that he didn’t want less than perfect folks asking prayer for his son. But less than perfect folks sent one right on up for him and I’m sure they all was received. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🇺🇸🇺🇸

We all get flustered and say things somewhat crude when we are stressed, even with the best intentions. I’ll pray for all of ya, and I hope y’all do the same. Lord knows I need every mouth and every heart casting prayer for me daily.

It appears he has a lot more to worry about than getting offended by an internet post so I'll just focus on praying for the awful situation his son seems to be in rather than trying to drum up sentiment against him.

Just wanted to let y’all know that on my day off after eating way too much breakfast and now admiring all my fishing tackle I’m praying for all of you sinners.

I think everyone has said a prayer for his son which is what he asked for. But regardless of this situation you can't post something like that and NOT expect to catch some flack. One should NEVER read a prayer request post and be told you can't pray if you are not a Perfect or Good Christian. There has only be one of those walk this earth.
We need to be praying that the Good Lord changes the Op's heart as well. I was gonna take this conversation a step further but Ii'll shut up now. well said

All I can is that I try to do my best to be a Christian. I know I fall short. Every time someone ask for prayers I lift one up even if I don't post it. I believe in prayer and pray often. God answers all prayer although it might not be what you expected. At a friend and family members funeral last they played the song 'Me and Jesus got a good thing going". In my case, I honestly believe it.

I agree. It is WAY beyond my pay grade to say anyone's heart needs changing. I have quite enough of my own to deal with. Someone asks for prayer, I give it. End of story. Demonic things are nothing to dismiss so quickly. My opinion. The Enemy is strong and getting stronger. Read Mathew 7:5.

We’re all sinners DW. All we can do is love the Lord, love others, and try to emulate Jesus in everything we do. I certainly wouldn’t try to work out another mans salvation.

Fortunately, your salvation is not dependent on another person's opinion. You can know without a doubt whether you are lost or saved. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God." (John 3:16-21)
Which brings up an interesting question. Can you become a Christian and remain unchanged after that? These real life people come to mind: Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:4-26). Woman caught in adultery (John 8:1-11). Zacchaeus the tax collector (Luke 19:1-10). Saul (who became Apostle Paul).

The answer is, no, according to 2 Corinthians 5:17. We are a new creation and will not make sin a pattern of life. Too many folks have a love affair with sin but keep on believing they are Christians without any intent on following Christ. This is not a game. This is serious stuff. Some of you guys need to read Matthew 7:21.

If Saul could be saved after what he did there is hope for an eternal life for all. PTL

Do you believe that a person is saved if they do not repent of their former lifestyle of sin and just continue in sin? Jesus tells us in Luke 13:3 that we will perish without repentence. The entire book of Revelation is devoted to God's wrath. The American Christian church has fallen into a pattern of believing all we have to practice is love while still talking like the rest of the world, watching movies that the world does, wearing sensual clothing like the world. I'm not trying to be hard just for the sake of being hard. Again, Matthew 7:21.
