But its now run over with billionaires, hipsters, and insane growth. I was there in the early 80's and then, when you saw a cowboy, it was a real cowboy, not some tech startup skinny jean guy. I prefer the Teton valley on the other side of the tetons, in Idaho. World class fly fishing, rural (although spillover from Jackson is starting to happen) and plenty of public land to hop around on. The showers in Yellowstone didn't open until June 1st and we were there at the end of May, so that hot shower in Jackson Hole was the best one of my life!!!!!

We all tagged out a day early and went back into Jackson. The next morning, there was 6” of fresh snow on the ground. It was beautiful! Hunting brings out the worst in people.
