Just a heads up, but this is the best jambalaya mix I’ve ever had. Mixed half a pound of conecuh and half a pound of shrimp with it tonight. For a super quick and easy dinner, this stuff is hard to beat.

You buy it from that website or pick it up in a store?

We bought it in person at a Farmers market when we lived in south Mississippi, so I’m not sure it’s in stores.

I think I'm going to order their Muffuletta loaf and the Central Grocery olive salad and make them at home.

Why don't you just go ahead and use Jiffy and make cornbread?

The 3rd ingredient is sugar.

Hand over your "Southern Card." grin

Cause sometimes a package of conecuh and a package of jambalaya mix are as good as it gets for dinner. Plus, I haven’t found too many jambalayas (homemade or restaurant) that’s better than this stuff.

I just don't like mixes because of all the other crap they put in that stuff, but if you guys like it that's all that matters really.

You've never had really good jambalaya.

And Justin Wilson is a chitty cook....

Ummm yeah you meant was right? Cause he's been dead for 18 years now, and I'd take his cooking advice over any of you "aldeer experts" any day of the week........

I like Justin Wilson.

We had a gal friend from Vermont. She was a hell of a woman. Rode her own motorcycle and fought breast cancer to the end. She used to own and run a bake shop/coffee shop in Vermont until my buddy met her online, ended up marrying her and bringing her back to Birmingham. She made the best cornbread and her secret was putting a little brown sugar in it to balance the acidity of the buttermilk. She was a great woman.
