Went to the TNF this morning, was running a little behind schedule and got into the woods just after 7. Had walked by a washout from the last time the creek flooded and as I was walking back by the same spot I jumped a hog no more than 50 yds from where I was just at. He didn’t run off, just kinda trotted into the under brush, I stood there trying to decide what I should do. I realized that he didn’t run so I decided to follow after him. Less than ten minutes I saw him moving about 50 yds away but there was branch in my way so as I moved around it he turned his head and looked straight T me; bad move on his part as I put the reticle between his eyes and squeezed the trigger. Someone forgot to tell him that a .223 is not strong enough to kill a hog or that an AR is not used for hunting, he dropped in his tracks and did a few circles in the dirt. I put a large sized glove in one of the photos for a size reference.
