Looks good. To keep closed, install an interior latch on one door that slides into the bottom the use an exterior hasp to latch the two together. You can get some that are black to match the barn door hardware.

R That looks really nice. Does it have to be waterproof? Yes. It’s going to get deck stain then a sealer. I’ll have to redo it every couple of years or until I put a roof over this section. I’m buying a waterproof cover for the fire pit and a metal roof on cabinet plus the same treatment. I’ve got less than $600 in those two pieces of furniture. Buying would have been triple that. A little yearly maintenance is well worth the cost saving All pieces will get stained and sealed inside and out

A little yearly maintenance is well worth the cost saving All pieces will get stained and sealed inside and out The reason I was asking is that it looks to have lots of opportunities for leaks at the inset side panels. Once the moisture gets in there won't be a good way for it to get out and I would be concerned about mold growing inside and inside the TV. I don't know... Maybe having to rip the whole backside off my cabin and redo it due to leaks, has caused me to be very conscious of leak paths for rain water. Rain water can be very tricky to stop from leaking in somewhere. It is persistent and doesn't give up easily.
