My current watch has begun to crap out on me.
I have been looking at a Garmin Instinct. Anyone have any experience with them?
This may end up being my first jump into a fully digital/smart watch. How do you like your smart watches?

My watch is a very dumb Luminox navy seal watch. Change batteries every five years or so and its been going for over 20 years.

I had a luminox many years ago and the wrist strap pin holes on the body of the watch somehow wallered out and will no longer stay in. I even had a jeweler place 'extra strong' pins in and they still would pop out regularly.

Suunto Core. Not a "smart watch", but does a lot of cool stuff (way more than I need - dual time zones, stop watch, altitude, barometer with storm prediction, temp, compass, and you can lock in a heading and it will keep you on track when hiking. I previously had a $17 amazon knock-off, just to see if I'd like the style and size of the watch. I did, and that watch was great (only did time and stop watch) but it finally died, and I found this one gently used on facebook marketplace for $50 ($130ish new) so I snatched it up.

Can't wear a watch, drives me insane having something strapped to my wrist. I feel naked without one.

Quit wearing them in the 1980’s. Can’t say I miss them. There’s a clock on just about everything I use or turn on.

X2 on the Suunto Core I've been torturing mine for about 6 years now. Only thing I've had to do to it was replace the band and batteries. Gomer, if you ever break your band get the one like mine, it's so much more low profile and comfortable. Shoot me a couple pics of the band, and where did you get it? The guy I got this one from also gave me a cheap nylon band that I actually kinda like, but it was missing one of the screws, and the screws from the factory band don't fit it, so I can't use it. But those bands are only like $10 on Amazon.

When I wear one it's a 1980's Seiko blue face.

I don't "run" a watch. Or a scope. Or a sight on a bow.
The one I wear on my wrist is a Garmin Instinct. Traded up from a Forerunner 35 that crapped out.
The Instinct has a lot of bells and whistles I'm still figuring out but I like it so far. Main face shows time, battery, day-date, heart rate and sunrise/sunset. Has a lot of toggles and capabilities.
Strangely enough, when I press the button to acquire GPS satellites it says I'm too close to a building and need to be outdoors. Even when I'm standint outdoors in my open yard. Still figuring out different stuff.

How do you like running the Garmin Instinct? Pros? Cons? Sorry. I had to use that verbiage.
