They outta make an addition making it illegal for loaded big trucks to be in the left lane at a red light. That is the most inconsiderate move a trucker can make

The people that get me are the ones that pull up to a stop light in the right turn lane, when they are planning on going straight and not making a right turn any time soon. Which, in turn, blocks all the people behind them from turning right on red....

It should be legal to shoot any azzhole who rides in the left lane.

Better yet, a stop sign where the guy in front of you is turning left but he decides to get as far to the right as he can enabling those behind him from sliding up beside and turning right.

Three things about this law:

1. It should not apply only to interstates, but also to 4-lane divided highways like 72/20, 231, 331, 431 and so on.

2. IT'S NOT F'KING ENFORCED AND IS ABOUT AS BENEFICIAL AS TITS ON A BOAT HOG.

3. No. 2 negates the need for No. 1.

Most tractors I see around here on 431, which isn't many but we get a few, are courteous enough to be in the right lane.

It’s impossible to stay in the right lane. You have to constantly swap back and forth cause no one drives the speed limit. Also the right lane is beat all to hell. I will take the ticket in the left lane

You want me to switch to the left lane just before I get to a red light in case someone might wanna turn right on red? If I do that, then I'm gonna slow you up on your jack rabbit start from the left lane once the light turns green. Looks like I just need to stay off the road.

I drove on I65 this past weekend and was amazed that I didn't see a single wreck. There's usually at least 2 18 wheelers turned upside down on it, so it was a good weekend for driving.

this new law has completely changed my life I made it to work today in record time because of it
90% of the time I see that is because they need to make a left turn somewhere within the next few miles and they know if they wait to get over no one will let them in. Ive gotten to where i dont use a blinker to change lanes any more because half the time whoever you are trying to merge infront of will step on the gas as soon as they know you want over.

still not as bad as the people that come to a complete stop at the beginning of the acceleration lane and wait for every single lane to clear before they pull out instead of using the acceleration lane to actually accelerate.

Imagine how rapidly the right lane will deteriorate when all vehicles are forced into it. Right lane is already the roughest and most beat up lane on most highways.

I hate everything mentioned, but I have found a new favorite left lane situation to hate on the roadways. The absolute WORST is the peckerhead youngun that just HAS to be looking at whatever earth shattering info is on that damn phone, gets in the left lane in order to reduce the risk of running up on somebody going slow in that lane while looking down, and slowly loiters there at about 55 mph (on the interstate) while scrolling facebook or whatever the hell they are doing. There is nothing on the roadways that pisses me off more. Not even a close second place. I SO want to get a damn air horn and keep it in my truck so I can pull up right beside them and scare the ever lovin chit out of em while they're scrollin. I'm just scared they would run off the road and kill themselves and others in a panic and I would never forgive myself.

I watched a trooper get one the first day the law went into affect. Made me very very happy.

Here's another little known fact that I see screwed up beyond belief on a weekly basis: you can make a left turn at a red light onto a 1 way street. It blows peoples' minds here in downtown B'ham.

TN vehicles on the 4 lanes in north AL will ALWAYS hog the left lane. Dumb bastards.

Not many big truck drivers here

I did this Friday afternoon and I'd do it again. I65 southbound somewhere between B'ham and Montgomery. Some trucker with one of those 30' (or however big it is, I don't know) dump trailers in the right lane with a cloud of chit blowing out of his UNSECURED load. I see it and hang back for the slow a$$ cars in the left lane to pass him so I can get past him in less than 10 minutes. The cars behind me saw what was going on and hung back too. I was back about 100-150 yards. The last car in the left lane gets up to the back of his rig and the trucker hits his left turn signal. No way in hell I'm getting stuck behind him getting sand blasted for the next 10 miles so I stood on it, closed the gap, AND DID NOT LET HIM OVER. Too bad if he didn't like it, he should have secured his load whatever it was.
