It's hit me some this year in Marengo county, but not as bad as some years. EHD and fighting, not so much lead poisoning is the reason we don't have lots of mature bucks every year. Think about it, how many times have you asked yourself, we had all these young, up and coming bucks, where did they all go? I've learned a heck of a lot about about loosing native deer in our high fence lease.

My uncle in Indiana had his farm hit hard a few years ago. Never seen that man cry at all until he told me about how many deer he found dead. He is in Greene County. Wish I had the time to go up there.

I’m going to zone 9 Allamakee Co turkey hunted there 2 years ago... Lots of deer, but to hell with them cliffs.
