I have a 10' model that's in decent shape. It needs a few seed tubes, a few cover chains and other odds and ends, but is a solid unit otherwise. Any idea on value range?

Around $500-1000 for one that needs work. Closer to $1500 if it is field ready.

The condition of the seed boxes is probably the biggest issue. If they are in good shape I would say around $1k as you describe. Not much more. I have seen B's go for $500 or less at auction.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Keep in mind you can get a newer generation drill such as the John Deere 8000 series in the $1500-3000 range.
